Case: Restaurant & Bar: Freigeist in Brauquartier
Designed by HERZBLUTdesign, led by Founder and CEO Christian Rauchegger, the burger restaurant Freigeist in Graz, Austria, has been styled with an industrial interior featuring a red colour scheme.
The mood is set with dramatic lighting that accentuates the tabletops of solid oak, red mosaic tiles, matte black steel and fine leather. All supporting the restaurant's name: "Freigeist" which directly translated means "free spirit".
Christian Rauchegger explains the thoughts behind their choice of the DAN-FORM bar stool PAZ:
“The PAZ bar stool was chosen in a very early stage of the concept-phase, for several reasons. In the restaurant, we have used handmade furniture out of solid wood and steel and also very compact components. The idea was using massive materials but keeping forms slim and transparent.
Product used
The PAZ barstool matched perfectly with this concept; a massive but slim frame and a reduced seat made out of a very thick leather in a wonderful grey colour.
The whole stool is nearly invisible and super heavy at the same time. In addition, we liked the surface of the powder coated frame a lot. Perfect finish!”
